It is our mission to inspire self-confidence, discipline, and respect for the performing arts in the developing dancer. Our faculty and staff are dedicated, experienced adults who are committed to excellence in dance education. Directors boast degrees in dance education and business, professional performance, and coaching experience.

Ballet

Classical ballet is the foundation for many dance techniques. This class is recommended for students taking all jazz and lyrical classes and is required for dancers wishing to pursue pointe. Ballet classes are featured in the annual performance of The Nutcracker, performed at the Moss Arts Center!

Conditioning/Honor Society

Train your body to excel in the athletic movements required in dance performance. A foundation of strength and flexibility allows dancers to safely explore unique and creative movements. The National Honor Society for Dance Arts is open to all local Middle and High School students, regardless of school enrollment. Members help plan performances and participate in community service events.

Gymnastics

Our progressive gymnastics curriculum begins with backbends, handstands, and cartwheels, forward and backward rolls. As dancers gain experience skills such as round-offs, cartwheel variations, front and back walkovers are added. Advanced students work on executing front and side aerials, handsprings, and more!

Saturday 9:30-10:15am: Beginning/Intermediate Gymnastics (ages 6-12)

Hip Hop

Use your body to accentuate the music. We focus on isolations, tutting, pop and lock, krump, and other classic hip hop techniques. Classes include hip hop tricks, stunts and student improvisation.

Jazz

Jazz technique incorporates body isolations, choreography, leaps, and turns. Styles taught include classical, lyrical, musical theater, and funk.

Lyrical/Contemporary

Our lyrical curriculum teaches dancers how to express emotions with facials and body movements. We focus on combining correct technical placement with interpretive movements to tell a story. Modern curriculum introduces dancers to various well-known modern techniques. Contemporary classes add abstract shapes and advanced musicality to dancers’ repertoire.

Pointe

Pointe technique is for experienced classical ballet students with a minimum of two years of ballet training. Pointe classes require faculty recommendation and attendance in corresponding weekly ballet classes.

*complimentary for all Level 4 & 5 dancers

Monday 5:30-6:15pm: Beginning Pointe 6/7

Thursday 7:00-7:45pm: Intermediate Pointe 8

Tap

Tap technique incorporates rhythm, style, and percussion skills through basic foot motions and syncopated combinations.

Dress Code

Fitted solid-color athletic wear may be worn to Jazz, Leaps & Turns, Conditioning, Lyrical/Contemporary and Tap classes. A leotard and pink tights are required for all Ballet and Pointe technique classes. Hair should be secured away from the face and appropriate footwear must be worn to each class.

1 hour/week = $65/month

45 minutes/week = $50/month
Dancers receive a $10 discount on additional class tuition!
