Spotlight Dance classes build on the fundamentals learned in Debut Dance classes and add intermediate dance combinations. Classes continue to focus on imagination and creative movement, using educational activities and a theme-based curriculum to inspire young dancers while incorporating a strong foundation and fostering a desire to learn.

This hour-long class is designed for our 4 and 5-year-old students and recommended for dancers that have been attending pre-school or tried other structured activities. Ballet and Tap skills include varying rhythms and musicality, exploring movement quality, balance, direction changes, creative expressions, and showmanship. Tumbling and balance beam foster flexibility, self-confidence, fine and gross motor skills.

Wednesday 4:30-5:30pm Ballet/Tap

Saturday 9:30-10:30am Ballet/Tap

Parents may view classes on a closed-circuit TV monitor in a separate spacious lobby with toys and games for young siblings. Open House is hosted inside the classrooms every six to eight weeks for students to showcase routines and curriculum.

Spotlight dancers are featured in our annual Spring Dance Concert. Dancers showcase their achievements in a three-minute routine on the beautiful stage in front of a full audience!

Dress Code

Leotard and pink tights are required. Dancers may accessorize with dance skirts, tutus, dance shorts, legwarmers, or dance sweaters when appropriate. Ballet shoes may be worn for ballet, gym, and jazz styles. Tan tap shoes should be worn for tap classes. Hair must be pulled back from the face.
